Jay's neat stuff

This is my 7th grade collage homework

This BATMETAL video is the greatest thing I’ve seen in a while…WATCH IT!

                                           GOING VIRAL

What a weird weekend. I just wanted to post this self-serving malarkey white the iron was still hot.
I was reading an article about how you are supposed to tell your kids to lay down and play dead if a shooter comes into their school. They also suggested you wipe the blood of those already shot on yourself to complete the playing dead look. Horrifying, right?
The same day I read an article on states banning gay marriage, and yet another article on how the powerful gun lobby was making any changes in gun laws impossible. No wonder I usually just read comic books.
Everything seemed out of whack and I wrote a jokey tweet about it. Then it went nuts.
Andy Richter Retweed it..then George Wallace…Then @buck4itt put it here on Tumblr..then I was proclaimed winner of the internet by George Takai„then Taylor Oakley RT’d it..on and on..
And you read it..and …liked/favd/Rt’d/shared it..some of you followed me on twitter..and that brings me to the reason behind this post.
I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you to every single one of you for stopping by my little slice of the internet. For a virtual nobody-dad-open mic-stand-up-wanna-be this has been crazy. I honestly appreciate every nice @ reply, follow, like or whatever…you rule.
I’ll get back to fart jokes now.
Your internet pal,
J
(P.S. I am so sick of looking at that pic of me shoving a slice of pizza in my big stupid head..I’m sure you are too.)

rockabillyjay:

I love Conan O’Brien.

He had a bit on his old Late Night show introducing new action cartoons for kids and did one called “The Embryonic Rockabilly Polka-Dotted Fighter Pilots “ It was amazing and I became a fan for life.

I wanted to go see him tape his show when he was hosting The Tonight Show, but I never got around to it. We all know how that turned out.

I put myself in the drawing for tickets and got a pair for the day before my birthday, Oct 26th. I went with my friend Louis (@LouisPeitzman ). The entire staff of his show was professional and kind. Like they were genuinely grateful for everyone coming to see the show. I highly recommend anyone in the area to go see a taping. It was a great time and I will definitely go again.

Last night’s episode from New York was one of the greatest hours of TV I have ever seen. The energy surrounding the show was palpable. The bits were fantastic, Triumph came back after far too long of an absence, and you can’t miss with Louis CK as your guest. You seriously need to go to TeamCoCo.com and watch it right now.

The capper was the first (to my knowledge) same sex wedding on TV. It was truly touching. I watched the early east coast feed (8pm my time) while I played with my 4 year old daughter. She looked up and saw the wedding set on the TV.

"What are they doing?"

They are having a wedding.

"Where’s the girl?"

Well… some boys like boys, and some girls like girls. And when they love each other they can get married too

"That makes sense. Everyone should be happy."

Thanks to Conan (and his AMAZINGLY talented staff and writers) I had a touching moment with my kid that gave me a sense of pride and hope for the future I hadn’t had in a while. All while Ted Turner pushed the happy couple into the sunset on a stuffed Buffalo.

I love Conan.
